03 Las Yungas - Parque Nacional Calilegua
El Parque Nacional Calilegua visitamos junto con la familia de Alejandra, Sergio, Maria, Jose y Juana, aqui desayunado temperano:
Early in the morning we left Jujuy on the road 56 passing through the mountains of Zapla direction San Pedro continuing on the 34 to Libertador Gral. San Martin. Directly after crossing the river of San Lorenzo we turned to the left on a gravel road. After overall two hours we reached the entrance of the National Park Calilegua.
Der Nationalpark Calilegua ist über 76000 ha groß und über die Provinzstraße 83 kann man ihn in 23km durchqueren, an verschiedenen Stellen anhalten, Ausblicke genießen und Wanderungen machen. Der Eingang liegt auf 550 m ü.NN und das Parkende auf 1700 m. Hier der Ausblick auf den Fluss Rio San Lorenzo:
El clima en la selva es subtropical y el objectivo de la protección es que se trata de la unica selva nublada o yungas de cuencas hídricas. La Ruta Provincial 83 aqui es angosta y serpenteada.
This is also the area of indigenous communities, e.g. Guaraní people. In the entrance area the first path is with explaination about Guaraní culture and tradition. The Guaranì offers tour guides for visitors.
Die Vegetation ist enorm und es ist ziemlich feucht da der Nebel bzw. die Wolken alles umhüllen.
Por el clima humedo se encuentran este tipo de ranitas, esta está en la mano de Jose:
The path through the forest of the clouds is in about 1700 mts height.
Ein Denkmal an die Erbauung der Straße markiert auch das Ende des Nationalparks. Der Wald hier liegt inmmitten der Wolken und des Nebels:
Al regreso saliendo del parque nacional encontramos este bambú gigante...
With Maria we inspected the bamboo ... how big the shoots are! The culm needs about 5 months the reach the final height: Bamboo is a quick growing grass. However to be hard and resistent it needs some 4 years more. Guaraní people know to make the roofs out of bamboo.
